Hey guys, ive recently upgraded to the Ronin case and while ordering i bought 2 AF120 Performance fans, and at the same time some SP120 Performance for the rad, what ive noticed is the AF120's are barely pushing air into the case compared to the draft the SP120's put out at the back, should i have gone with SP's all round?

I have 2 stock corsair H60 fans, which i will assume are similar to the SP's would it be worth sticking those in the front till i get more SP's.

Have you removed one of the HDD bays? The SP are good for heatsinks/radiators due to their high static pressure so may be useful if one of the HDD bays is in the way. However you'll have to bear with the noise unless you undervolt which will reduce their effectiveness.

Here are some other options you could go with

Both have high static pressure & airflow and should be quieter than the SP120

Yea i removed the top HDD cage, so only running the bottom one now, running a fan controller at present, got the 2 SP120's at full whack and they are perfect noise wise for me, but the 2 AF120's just seem to be struggling in regards to pushing the air even at full speed, hence why i didnt know if the high static ones are prefered for the ronin due to the front panel and the dust filters.

I quite like the AF120's and even use them on rads! (im gonna take flak for this I know) but in my rig the push enough air through the rads and the temps are very low - like the noise level.

I dont know much about the Ronin case but if the SP's are pushing air out decently it must have got in there somehow - AF's?

I see your point, but the hand test says otherwise, can barely feel any air hitting your hand compared to the rear SP's, i dunno, i might just bite the bullet and swap them around later and see what difference if any it makes, im just sure the front should be pulling more in.

yup. swap em and see. air movement though isnt the same as flow but try ir anyway as its a quick thing to do. the case probably has vents elsewhere so any air not pushed out the back will escape via the vents.

It will be good to know if your temps etc change at all
