I'm not a complete amateur when it comes to computer hardware, but I have no experience when it comes to actually building one.

I've decided to break out of my 360 RROD'ing cycle and build a rig, partly to minimise costs, and partly so that I can understand everything that is inside the rig and actually understand my computer.

My budget for the actual computer is £400, this is for just the computer and excludes the monitor/mouse/speakers etc.

Heres the catch; I want to be able to run BF3 at a level that could be regarded as visually superior to the 360 version as I am desperate to experience those 64 player battles and those gorgeous visuals.

I was looking at the GeForce GT 430 as a potential graphics card.

Is such a thing possible within my budget? I'm not interested in a shiny case and a massive harddrive, just the ability to run games well.

And this rig would be able to play BF3? Fantastic :D

Would all this kit essentially screw/clip together or will I need specialist tools?
