So I purchased the wrong tubing size and it doesn't seem to fit onto my connectors.

I bought 16/10 instead of 16/11. Is it possible to use a hairdryer or something to soften the tubing and use it still or best to buy the bigger size?

Thanks!

If it were me, I'd try putting the end of the tubing in hot water for a few minutes & then try squeezing it over the fitting (have also resorted to using silicon lubricant before - seems to help, but entirely at your own risk)

It'll be a pain, but should be fine

Yeah they are compression ones. Just damn bloody tight with this new tubing. Will see if I can heat it up to stretch over.

Thanks.

Just tried dipping the end in a cup of hot water worked quite nicely. However can't get the compression cover part over the top of it when it's on the connector. :(

Thanks all. Guess will have to get some more piping!

given the potential consequences, dont cheep out and go buy the right tubing! Chalk this up to experience and move on :)

to follow up on this; tubing arrived but i can't get the compression cover over the piping; any tips on how i can do it?

I had some old tubing from the previous build (same manufacturer and size 16/11) and that is fine. The new tubing seems thicker.

I have had similar pains Archerz.

I have xspc compression fittings (16/10)
Use mayhems tube or XSPC own tube, had no issues
Purchased some primochill last time as it was only stuff in stock, seems to be very slightly thicker as just couldn't the compression fittings over the top.

Ended up throwing it in the end :(

Seems the same; i was using the primochill piping and i just cant get the connector over. I've now ordered some XSPC tubing instead and hoping for the better luck!
