I am currently in the process of writing an integrated notice board, helpdesk and room booking interface for the intranet at work. Currently I have my logins sorted, the notice board sorted and the helpdesk sorted however I am struggling with the room booking side of things.
Now I'm only asking for tips- I don't want anybody to do anything for me but I've been thinking along the lines of a calender type thing, the user clicks on the date they require, select the room or resource they want and it then books it. The login, notice board and helpdesk is supported by a back end MySQL database but I'm not sure about how to design the database for this next bit so a bit of guidance would be appreciated for that and also the front end and just generally how to go about it
