Roomy case recommendation

Everytime I get a case, it looks big, I think great but as soon as I start gettings parts in there, it gets cramped quickly. I recently got a antec 900 with a new setup. Along with this was a bfg 8800gts and also a tagan 800w psu. Unfortunately the tagan psu didn't have detachable cables like some of there previous modules and with the 8800 card in there is very cramped. Having to hold all the psu cables.

What I'm looking for is a new case, probably a full tower at this stage so I can have more to fiddle about with. Some of the Full towers listed seem to be the same height as a midi tower. Is that normal? I would like to get a cheap one preferably. Anyone any recommendations?

The antec 900 has had a lot of bad reviews, especially on how cramped and small the interior is.. don't forget about its dust collecting abilities.. :D

I have an antec 900 and am replacing it. It does collect a lot of dust and is extremely cramped even though my psu is modular.

I am replacing it with a silverstone tj-09. Plenty of room inside but is a little pricey but toally worth it imo :)

Hi Luther,

Another set of cases to consider would be the Lian Li V1000, V1200 and PC-101.

All these cases are fairly compact from the outside but are so well designed internally that they seem a lot larger when you're working on them.

I remember in the past if i wanted to remove a HDD i would have to remove a graphics card, etc, etc...

They're wonderful to work in yet don't dominate a desk.

As you can see here, with a GTX and large air cooler there's still plenty of space left - plus the HDD's are well out of the way and easily accessible:

Infact the v1200 differs only slightly to the v1000 and PC-101 by being 10cm longer. :)

I did a lot of measurement comparisons before my wc upgrade earlier this year and the Akasa Eclipse was the deepest/widest of all the mid towers. I am very pleased I bought it.

But will it take a PA120.3 or black ice 480 rad inside the case without cutting any holes ??

I decided to mount my rads on the top of the case. I was mostly concerned with the hoses being fitted in, what with having the 2 graphics cards in the loop as well.
