Think he's partly making excuses tbh. If someone had that much of a worry, he wouldn't have been going on about a life contract a matter of months ago, considering the 'lack' of investment has been there for a while.
Now Rooney'll leave and Utd will spend big bucks, lol.

With that statement, Rooney has just paved his way to Man City.
I bloody can. For one I don't really believe his statement but that's neither here nor there as I can't prove anything but as I see it there's 3 options.

thats right....we didnt, we sold everyone at the top of their game instead and replaced them with wannabe youngsters who cost between 12-20million.
you can critique every one of UTD signings over the last few years and you will notice that not oncehave we bought 'the man' instead of Essien, who choose chelsea, we sign carrick...

Exactly, Manu fans on hear have been crying about the lack of buys for 2 years. Now a player that actually has to get the job done says the same and he will be lynched.

Fair play to Rooney for recognising what our clever Ocuk manu fans have been moaning about for so long. Fergie lack of buys and intelligence in the transfer market. Someone willing to speak out against the bully instead of getting a boot in the head and leaving like beckham.
When rooney goes it will send a signal to the rest of europe that the big players keep going elsewhere. Vidic will be next in the summer.

If what he said is true, I agree. There is a lack of ambition.
Hopefully this will help the Red Knights deal along the way somewhat, they did release a statement asking the Glazers to reconsider their offer.
