A striker is judged by goals I agree, but Rooney offers a lot more than just that. Besides its hardly surprising his form dipped after the WC and other bs (yes his own fault). Were there teams waiting to snap him up? Yes, because they know more than likely, like Torres, his ability will still be there. He can even score goal of the season off his shin
