For me his volley against Newcastle is his best one.
LuLz at the, "he was only 10 yards out" "shinned it" and "Only cuz it's Rooney" comments.
Anyone that has played football at any decent level will tell you how hard that is to do, I scored one very similar once, the only time I have ever really connected properly, ended up hitting an Astra.
For all the people that didn't think it was that special, have a look through the best over head kicks ever in the history of professional football. You will only find 2 examples that even come close, Rivaldo's and Trevor Sinclair's. Now for something that wasn't very good and is easy to execute, why is there not one of those every week to discuss?
lmfao, your funny you.
yeh, what he really ment to do is miss the ball completely get up have a fit, jobs a good'un, some of you dont half talk ****, thankfully though your opinion counts for nothing.
Why is it most people on here have the reading abilty of a three year old.
Are you saying he meant to flip over then shin it and get it exactly where it went?
Bicycle kicks are by and large, lucky, Rooney's tried them before and missed, as have MANY players, they are ALL rather lucky when they go in.

Is this the best goal ever at Anfield? For a guy whose massively less agile than Rooney, he flips over and kicks it with his foot, its still lucky, and Crouch has missed loads before aswell. Infact despite hating Crouch and thinking he's utter rubbish, its quite impressive how many times he's willing to throw himself about like that as he's a gangly freak just asking for a dodgey landing.
Here's the thing, people instantly went WAY overboard just because its Rooney and started proclaiming things like, best Rooney goal ever, best goal at Old Trafford, goal of the season.
All those things are rubbish, most people aren't saying its a rubbish goal , or its crap, or Heskey's got one of those before, its just not THAT good.
Then you get the usual internet rubbish, people who can't comprehend English and the other lot, that only accept two possibilities, somethings either the bestest thing ever, or rubbish, so anyone not agreeing this is the best goal at Old Trafford ever, are also calling it the worst goal ever scored by a professional footballer.
Give over, its a decent goal, it had an element of luck, he did infact shin it, most people infact don't intend to shin the ball, it almost certainly wouldn't have gone to the same point had it hit his foot. So what, that doesn't make it rubbish, its just a long cry from the best goal of the season/old trafford/the universe.
Gimp, I really don't see how you can classify only 2 other bicycle kicks as being close, a bicycle kick is rare, difficult, and look pretty cool, but it was a completely bog standard bicycle kick from not very far out. It didn't win a champs league final, it wasn't from 35 yards, he didn't get 3 metres in the air, it didn't loop over several defenders.
Sorry but, where is it "better" than ANY other bicycle kick that has scored, what exactly makes it, say theres been 200 bicycle kicks scored in the league, or in the world, ever, what makes it no.3 instead of joint 98th?
