I'm a big fan of the Alex Haley book and the original 1977 mini series and was quite surprised to hear recently that this has been remade.
I've just watched the first part and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I genuinely expected it to be rubbish but it wasn't. There are quite a few changes from the original but overall, I thought it was good with some incredibly powerful scenes. I'm looking forward to the next part.
