Rosetta team?

Now that I got my pc up and running how I want, all nice and smooth, though I would put some of the computing power I now have to good use, and have installed Boinc and decided to help out Rosetta@Home

is there an OcUK team though, and if so, how do I go about joining and assigning my compute progress to that team?

Thanks.

Joined up.

Glad I installed this as it showed up some instability that IBT and Prime didn't :D

Anyway, just seemed like a waste spending all this money on my PC and not use it, so though I would put it to some good use. Just need to find a balance that does not affect game play - it was making BF3 jerky earlier, but I may have allowed it too much processor power when pc in use.

Doesn't seem to be using my GPU's though...

Rosetta is CPU only.

I think Collatz and Milkyway make good use of ATI GPUs, why not take a look at those projects. Both have OCUK teams that you can join.

Ah, ok.

Can't believe how running Boinc is showing my system to be unstable when have run other stress tests without issue.

Will have a look at those other two some time. First want to get things stable with current stuff.

It's interesting how often DC projects can show up instability, just due to stressing the system in a different way. I've often had F@H show up an unstable OC on CPUs, RAM or graphics cards before.

Thanks.

Same here, I've been testing my new IB overclocked machine with IBT, prime95 and folding, thought I was looking good until I tried Rosetta, got a string of compute errors, I know these happen from time time but other folks were successfully completing most of them.

Fingers cross all seems to OK now, so much so I was about to stop testing until I saw Dekez on the move again, my competitive spirit has kicked, I did a cheeky re-stomp when his back was turned :D though I'll probably have to yield, I don't have that much clout anymore.
