Datawrite have been busy producing an updated version of their Titanium disc range, branded 'vx2'. Datawrite Titanium 16x Branded Blank DVD -R have been some of the best selling DVD in the UK and Europe and have proven to be hugely popular with OcUK customers.

Datawrite Titanium vx2 16x Branded Blank DVD -R in Packs of 50 is a DVD recordable format. A DVD -R typically has a storage capacity of 4.71 GB (or 4.38 GiB). The larger storage capacity of a DVD -R compared to a CD -R is achieved through smaller pit size and smaller track pitch of the groove spiral which guides the laser beam. Consequently, more pits can be written on the same physical sized disc. In order to write smaller pits onto the recording dye layer a red laser beam with a wavelength of 640 nm (for general use recordable DVD, versus a wavelength of 780 nm for CD -R) is used in conjunction with a higher numerical aperture lens. Because of this shorter wavelength, DVD -R use different dyes from CD -R to properly absorb this wavelength.

In common with other dual layer discs, these Mirror 8x Full Face Printable Dual Layer DVD+R DL in 10 Wrap have a data capacity of 8.5GB which equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode meaning you can fit even more of your favourite memories and yet still be assured that they are secure and protected.
