Damn you, was hoping to see the i7 950 bundle as I have just about decided to order and now you stick up the i5 760 I had just about ruled out of the equation to mean the i7 was the one to order for me.
Now at this price I have to reconsider.

Awesome prices though :)

Neat, what sort of clocks are they hitting? 4ghz+?

The Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 (Socket 1156) Mini ITX DDR3 Motherboard is a fantastic little board, mate of mines got it to 4.2GHz on air for a HTPC all stable and pretty good temps. Been tempted to pick up this bundle for a while...damn that itch for pretty new shiny things!:(

Hi,

Is there a massive difference between the intel and amd in terms of performance? Which offers the best value for money? As for the ITX bundle - thats of interest too, didn't realise you did them.

When you said to the other guy, that a more expensive cooler would give a much higher overclock - how much higher exactly?

Thanks

Damn that i5 bundle is a sweet deal - will this offer be repeated anytime soon as I won't have money in my bank account until Wednesday ... shame as it would have been ideal.

Not impressed so far!

I purchased the I5 bundle and have to say that the motherboard layout is BAD.

Problem 1 - You cannot install the cooler in the case around the correct way without blocking one of the memory slots and leaving the rubber fan grips putting pressure on the cpu.

Problem 2 - When install 2x graphics cards you cannot use at least 2 of the SATA slots as they are covered up

Problem 3 - When the computer boots I get a message saying the the system experienced a boot failure because of overclocking blah blah blah which looks to me like the overclocking has been wiped. Unfortunately I cannot find out due to....

Problem 4 - USB keyboard not recognised so I cannot get past boot screen

Havent installed mine due to AS missing, hopefully delivered today (dispatched yesterday)

Problem 1 - oh noes thats looks nasty, I want to align mine to vent towards rear of case is this what your trying?

Prob 2 - I think you can only blame the cards there tbh.

Prob 3 - ouch, that need fixing asap by OCuK I guess

Prob 4 - having faced this numerous times myself I have a trusty old keyboard I use for these purposes. You will be able to enable USB support though its just finding it in some BIOS thats the fun. It could simply be prob 3 causing this issue though.

hi

the overclock settings can sometimes reset to failsafe when a new powersupply is attached. [basically we test it on one suppy and then you put it on yours, it can throw that error up]

you can enter the bios on a usb keybaord. keep tapping del at startup on the splash screen.
i use USB keyboards to configure the overclocks so it does work.

once in the bios - press F12 to enter the profile loading screen.
once you get in there you will see the OCUK profile
hit enter on it to load your settings.

it will work properly then.

the sata layout isnt something we can do a lot about. obviously, this is a mid range board and doesnt come with high end features.

the cooler does fit in the correct orientation. it may be best if you describe what you are doing in the customer support forums. that way a member of staff can deal with any queries you may have. :)

however - I have taken the liberty of photographing the correct configuration for you.
we obviously test compatibility of the bundle components before it goes live on the website, but the compatibility of your own setup is really up to you.
the first memory slot is covered, but buying more memory would disrupt the overclock so we dont take that into account.
this is how it should look:

I have set mine up as in the picture. I just thought it was a bit cramped.

Keyboard was a stupid problem. Simply unplugged and then plugged back in at bios screen and it worked.

Now running at full speed thanks to your instructions.

P.S. anyone had problems enabling sli with this setup? I don't get the option in the nvidia menu. Using latest version 260.89.

1) You can, and should not really be using the blue slots.

2) You can use all sata ports with 2 gfx cards fitted with the use of low profile or angle sata cables.

3) There is a profile in the bios (pointed out)

4) In the bios there will be an option to enable usb keyboard and mouse, Gigabyte disable this as standard for some reason.
