Round Garden picnic table

The ones on eBay are just as exspensive as the bloody tables :p
Will see if I can find one locally lol

Failing that anyone seen/got plans for a table?

Looking at those pics, I'd really like one of those, some look great with them all nicely finished and stuff, now where can I get a cable drum?

Edit: Just having a look on ebay, ok I can get them from there but I'd like reask a very similar question...where can I get a cable drum cheaply??

Making a table would be a nice little project to be messing with while it's sunny. I bet it would be cheaper than buying one, but you'd need to get the timber from a timber yard, rather than B&Q etc.

I have also seen some pretty decent picnic tables made out of decking boards. They are often fairly cheap when on offer at Wickes. If they are smooth on the back then they would be perfect as a table top.

Don't bother with ebay for them try local scrap yards that have them from excess cable weighed in or building sites that'll give them away as they are a pain to get rid of. We always end up with them left on site we'd love someone to take them away as they fill a skip.

Why not stick them on ebay? Even if you stick £30 buyer collects on it's better than skipping them.

Because most of them are still property of the cable manufacturer and have deposits held against them you're not going to risk your job for £30
