Green car turns right, yellow car slams into passenger side door. Green car had right of way, correct?

I'd say the yellow car was at fault because to hit the passenger side door the green car must have already been substantially round the roundabout and the yellow car should have yielded

would say the same

So op which were you, green or yellow?

I'm guessing yellow or you wouldn't be here asking the question in the hope somehow you weren't responsible :p

Rule 185

*When reaching the roundabout you should

*give priority to traffic approaching from your right, unless directed otherwise by signs, road markings or traffic lights

*check whether road markings allow you to enter the roundabout without giving way. If so, proceed, but still look to the right before joining

*
watch out for all other road users already on the roundabout; be aware they may not be signalling correctly or at all

*
look forward before moving off to make sure traffic in front has moved off.

I was Green:p Just posted because yellow was adamant I was wrong:confused:

Unless you were indicating left before the exit he was coming on to the roundabout from, then i don't see how he can think it is anywhere close to being your fault.

Even if you were indicating incorrectly then it would still be his fault really as well.

Insurance should side with you on this one i would have thought if he has gone into the side of you.

If you'd hit his side door, there could be some argument, but with you having right of way and him hitting the side of your car, there's no contest.

You always give way to the right, although I've noticed over the years people tend to pull out as you're going round, which results in someone smacking into your side (I.e. whats happened to the OP)

I reckon the green car could have easily have avoided that collision with a bit of forward thinking tbh.

Yep was annoyed with myself a bit tbh. Saw the car coming and thought "this person could pull out on me", but I slowed down, was clearly indicating and thought the other car was slowing so thought it would be ok:(
