Quick one, which I am sure others have already have a solution for...However,

I was looking to plan a day driving route which i can use Google/Waze etc to navigate with. I have created and dragged a route on Google Maps however when I get the option to send to phone it warns me that it won't use the route i've dragged out but will recalculate choosing shortest route etc.

Is there an app that can handle the route been chosen rather then calculated or is it just best to add loads more waymarks to then force the preferred route being calculated?

I'm probably missing something obvious! This is for an Android phone ideally planning the route on a windows pc...

I looked into this a few weeks back and I think from searching for the answer it was possible in the past but google took the feature away.
The workaround I found was to "Add stops" to a pub or shop for example, that take you down the road you want.
Then when you send the route to your phone, open it up and when google maps opens with the route from your PC, click the options in the top right corner and select "Add route to Home screen"
You'll then have a shortcut to the saved route on your home screen.

Whenever I do this I just add stops to force the auto-calculated route to go where I want. Bit more hassle but it worked for all UK driving trips and a fortnight in France, so it's functional enough. Does limit you to Google Maps on the phone rather than Waze as I prefer, but small issues.

Cheers for the replies, thought as much.

Seems Google is also limiting to 10 stops too so split the route into two!
