Hi guys,
I'm due to be at a clinic over in Jarrow tomorrow for 1 O'Clock for some immunisations, and need some thoughts from some of the more experienced users of the roads leading north on the best way to get there. I'm travelling from Widnes (WA8 Postcode) to NE32 5SE in Jarrow, and can't decide which route to take. I seem to have the following options:
1. M62 from junction 7 to junction 29, then onto the M1 North and finally the A1M, or.
2. M62 to Junction 10, then M6 North to Junction 43, then join the A69.
I've driven the M62, M1, A1M route before, but this was me travelling it on a Sunday morning when traffic was light. Having worked in Birchwood, which involved travelling east to J11 on the M62 everyday, I'm well aware of the fact that the M62 becomes a car park every morning. The M6 north also seems to suffer from frequent delays too however, but I'm told the A69 should be fairly quiet. (Never having driven it before though, I wouldn't know).
So, what would you guys suggest? I'm planning to set off at 7:30 tomorrow morning, so hopefully I may be able to miss some of the rush hour madness with any luck.
Cheers.
