Right.

My DG834GT is very, very "flaky" atm.

I have a few options. I really like the netgear interface so I would like on from them but I have also heard that linksys or liksys by cisco are top notch, across various forums.

So;

1) Netgear DGN2000
2) Linksys WRT160N Wireless-N Router

Forgot to add, Budget of £70 or there abouts and the main purpose is gaming ect. so easy web interface to assign static ip's to devices is required.:)
Please feel free to suggest others!:)

The "Linksys by Cisco" thing is utter rot. Cisco have nothing to do with the Linksys routers other than owning Linksys. That's where any similarity to a Cisco router ends.

The two routers are for different things. One has an ADSL modem, one doesn't. If you have a DG834GT already, you'd need an ADSL modem or the WRT160N wouldn't be much use to you.

I have direct experience with neither router but 802.11n routers appear to be a crapshoot, with ADSL even more so.
