Just moved into a new house and not entirely sure how i go about this.
The master socket is in the hallway which is a fair old distance from the bedroom which will have the computer in it. I bought a new bt socket with a 20m wire and ran it from the master socket all the way to the bedroom where i installed the new Sky Q box. problem being that the wifi signal is pretty poor in the living room for netflix etc.
It would seem to make more sense to keep the router in the hallway and somehow run an extension to the computer to have it wired.
What is the best or the norm in a circumstance like this?
I know next to nothing about networking and the likes hence the question.
