Router and PC updated, Richo machine won't scan to folder

So I have an issue with a Richo MPC-2003 at work where it won't scan to a network folder yet printing to it works fine.

Router - Asus RT-AC87U (firmware 3.0.0.4.380_7378)
Server - Bog windows 10 machine with a shared folder

It's been working fine since it was setup but since the latest Windows update and router firmware update, the machine refuses to scan to a folder. It cannot even browse the network to find the server.

I've tried using the IP address of the server and the machine name to no avail.

Richo tech support haven't got a clue and want to charge £25 every 15 mins for a call out.

I believe it's something to do with SMB or Samba shares but google yields nothing. Have turned off both router and server firewall and still not luck.

Any ideas?

check what version of smb the printer supports and what the pc is using.

be worth checking if the update made any changes regarding certificates.

Could be permissions since the firmware update maybe a new account/password needs creating on the machine and resetting up on the folder

This will be the problem, some old Ricoh models had special firmware versions made available to support the newer SMB versions.
