I just brought the Asus n56u router and the set up was good and the router was really quick and the signal was good. but every so often the router will just drop the connection and if I try to access a page it will say "You have set the wrong changing or static IP location for your RT-N56U"

I have to go to the main router page "192.168.1.1" and renew the connection in order to make it work. But when it works; it works really good.

Can anyone help??

It makes it almost impossible to play call of duty because the connection just drops out for no reason.

Router firmware: 1.0.1.7f

Install the latest firmware installed on the router, I believe this was a problem with an older version of it.

1.0.1.8f is the latest, quite a bit newer than yours.

Tried it and put that version firmware on the router and it still disconnects me randomly when I'm playing games like star craft 2.

Its a very strange problem, I have no idea what could be causing it.

I have a weird scenario going on with my N56U, wonder if anyone can shed a light for me.

I'm remoted in to my server at home, and am connected to the web interface of my router. However, the network map seems to think that the connection is disconnected, and that no clients are connected to the router.

I've flashed my router to custom firmware, so don't have the EZQoS anymore, is it just a case that the custom firmware doesn't support the Network Map?
