right, i've got a Netgear DG814 which has been solid, running 24/7 for about 2 years. Then all of a sudden it has recently been dropping connection - just last night it died about 4 times in 30mins when i got in from work...
Could this be down to the heat at the moment? i cant see what else it could be, and it does seem quite warm when i go to power cycle it.
anyone got any advice/tips/comments?
is it worth upgrading to a new one? my mum was on about looking at this new sky bb which has the wireless router with it...is it worth considering something like that?

Very possibly heat. My NTL cable modem gave up last year after I cunningly blocked the ventalation holes by placing my router on top of it during summer.

Just try and keep it as cool as poss, ventalation, no direct sunlight etc, hopefully next week it'll cool down and you'll know...
