Router does not get WAN IP after reboot

I've got a WRT54GL running the latest Tomato firmware. It's connected to a DG834GT running DGTeam in modem only mode.

All works fine until the WRT reboots itself (sometimes once a day, other times it lasts a couple of weeks). When the WRT reboots it fails to obtain a WAN IP address, it shows 192.168.0.2 instead of the proper WAN IP.

The only way to regain the connection appears to be to disconnect the WAN Ethernet cable, reboot both routers, wait a few mins then reconnect the WAN cable, and it quickly obtains the WAN IP.

Anyone know why this is happening? I can't work out where the problem is.

I'm on O2 LLU broadband if that comes into it.

Cheers
James
