Router doesn't like laptop?

I have a Level One wireless router.

I connect my PC to it as well as a laptop. Both machines run Windows 7.

The PC uses a wireless USB as the motherboards ethernet port isn't functional.

The laptop uses its on board wireless to connect to the router.

The problem is whenever I turn on the laptop, connections to both my PC and laptop become unavailable.

To get things working again, I have to reset the power on the router and then connections to both the PC and laptop work again.

I'm getting tired of having to reset my router every time I turn on my laptop.

Any help with this, please?

Are they both getting the same IP by any chance?

check on both the machines start > run > cmd > ipconfig

I don't usually get an IP conflict message, but I got one today.

I reserved an IP address in my router for my laptop. Hopefully that should be enough.
