router help for pc and console.pls help

hi,
My router is in the sitting room. I use a very long ethernet cable to plug it into the pc. What do I need if I want to connect the ethernet cables onto ps5 and xbox and pc.

so If I plug the ethernet cable into a

NETGEAR PoE Switch 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Plus Network Switch, then plug ethernet cables in to the switch to pc, xbox and ps5.​

I want to plug one ethernet cable into three devices, Xbox,ps5 and gaming pc. Do I need a ethernet switch?

I'm lost

yes one cable from router to that switch, then the remaining ports can be used for other devices
