Little bit of info first my friend has got a TP Link TD-W8910G 54M Wireless Router and it has suddenly stopped connecting to the tinternet. She rung her ISP who said she needs to reconfigure the router???? Also had a quick look on TP site and i think the Firmware needs updating??? Will this help? They have only had the router for about 6/7 months if that makes any difference? lol Any suggestions what to do next? Have reset router to factory settings no help still the same. It is there own router but the one they got from Tiscali doesn't work either so does that point to more a Tiscali problem than there router? Any help appreciated please.:D

All physical connections are fine. Everything is fine connection wise with the router all lights on etc. Google page comes up but only off line. Not sure how to ping can't really remember. Do i have to open a command window? Do it that way?

Pinged 192.168.1.1 and came back fine but wouldn't ping Google. Out of ideas now think it may be going out the window. lol

Does the router say it's connected, both synched up and connected to the ISP?

If it doesn't work with another router it probably isn't a problem with your router...

Its my friends router which they bought to use with a Tiscali connection. It is there own not one supplied by Tiscali. I have Sky Broadband at home using a Netgear Router and that works fine. Connect up there router and comp connects fine to it but won't connect to tinternet. Get a pop up about the firewall quering User or something along those lines will get full message later on when i reconnect it. Will also post ping report if that helps.

Ok back again mythering git aren't i? Well i get a couple of messages with the router installed. The first one says.....
"The following policy might need to be adjusted to allow Windows to connect. Policy Provider-Windows Firewall Filter Name-Query User"
so i turn Windows Firewall of then i get the other message.

The second one says....
"There may be a problem with your DNS configuration."

This is the ping report from it as well.

If you need any more info give me a shout. Can't see what i'm doing wrong but then i'm not the brightest bulb in the pack. No wonder they call me One Watt!!!!:D

Edit just seen other posts i have those settings they are the ones he was using at his home on the Tiscali line. So is this pointing more to a problem with Tiscali or still the router? Thanks for the help so far guys really appreciated.
