Its been just over a month since I got my ADSL Max IDnet.
From day one it was fine but the past few days my connection has been horrible, I phoned Idnet and they checked my line and said there were no problems with it.
They suggested trying a different router but I only have the one. My router hasn't been turned off up until today for probably a month or the best part of. I would reboot it every so often to reset my connection.
I turned my router off for 10 minutes today and tried it, my net seemed a lot better for a short period but its back to naff again. Starting to think its my router and that two routers is probably a good idea anyway since its always the ISP's first get out of jail free card.
I'm currently on a Netgear ADSL firewall router DG834G.
I play a lot of online games and really want a router not specific to that but a one that wont hamper it, like a router with in built interleaving functions.
Preferably I'd like a router with no interleaving on it or a one that it can be dissabled easily.
Any recomendations or any idea what might be wrong with mine?
Thanks,
Majik.
