router/internet help?

hi

i keep getting problems with my linksys wrt54gl router ive got it on a broadband cable network when i went to use my pc it said no server on the internet browser.

so i tested the wireless imternet with my laptop and it connected ok to the router but it came up also with no server box?

I took the router off and connected just the virgin media broadband cable to my pc's ethernet port and it got the internet back up.

so im thinking that theres a problem somewhere with the router?

is there a setting im not doing properly , it had been working fine but its a random problem that keeps coming back every couple of months?

well ive got it working again, still not sure what keeps causing it? anyway could anyone tell me if its best to enable or disable upnp in the router?

Flash the router with dd-wrt or tomato if you havens already, makes the router much more stable :) with average up-times around 6 months :)
