Router limiting speed for one device

Hi

My router seems to be throttling my speeds for my Macbook Pro.

My iPhone and laptop get 30+mbps on wifi next to the router. My desktop around 40mbps wired in.

My MBP gets like 4mbps. I tried this out and whilst at Apple it got full speed so it is not my MBP but my router causing this.

I have a TP Link W9980 router. Can anyone help me unblock my Mac?

Unless you've gone out of your way to throttle it, your router isn't throttling your mac.

try changing the wireless channel to see if that helps

I've tested this and the problem is fixed when my Mac is on the DMZ server. It's definitely being throttled somehow... maybe I need to port forward it? Any ideas?

Sounds more like a weird IP conflict problem.

You certainly don't need to port forward to improve your speed. Putting the MBP into a DMZ and it being better is interesting but it does point toward some kind of routing/ip issue.

You should be able to look at the wireless interface properties, does the actual connection rate decrease when the MBP is not in the DMZ? It shouldn't.
