Router modem to replace HomeHub4?

Dsl-n55u

Getting fibre in future? Then get the DSL-AC68U

You need one with an adsl modem built in.

No infinity where I am, too close to the exchange apparently so connected directly to that.

Just spotted a N55U, but two versions of it on ASUS website (annexA or C1) had a look at the specs and seems that the annexA is better, so will go and see if thats the version available.

The _C1 looks interesting - it has a dedicated Ethernet WAN port rather than using one of the LAN ports. It supports Annex A, but doesn't appear to be commonly available in the UK. I hadn't even noticed it existed until I saw this thread.

BT too.

I did the setup wizard, selected UK, BT Broadband, it asked for my username and password from the ISP, I type that in and all I got was a yellow triangle on my network connectivity in the taskbar.

Tried a firmware update that went ok, reset the device, set up the internet again as above, same issue.

Re-installed Win8.1, same thing, the windows network properties always said "limited" network.

Tried so much messing around.

There is a possibility you need to wait for it to sync up on the exchance, If you'r not using BT hardware, It's what I had to do with my Asus RT-ac68u, However I'm on fiber.

Any time I've noticed a network with "Limited Network" had to change settings from "Public network"to a Home Network

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am also interested in this.

Is it definitely worthwhile replacing the Home Hub? I too have ADSL, no fibre any time soon and I just wanted to make sure it was worth coughing up for a better one, are there a lot of benefits over the Home Hub?

So, it's working?

Leave it connected and online for a week or so, this will get you the best speed out of your line.
