Router on University Network, help please?

hi

i plugged in my Linksys router before and it works fine but will not allow me to login to use the internet.

Every student in the hall gets a log in to use the internet, so do i need to forward ports or.... if so how do i know which ones?

Yes am in halls but i have just read another thread were they were talking about auto Ip and clone your MAC address to router....

either way they seemed to get round it but it doesnt quiet say how he did it

Got it working =) there is a tab on my linksys that clones ya MAC address and after doing that it worked a charm.

i didnt register my MAC though, the network must just think its my PC as u sed.
