Hi,

I'm trying to get this out before my router crashes AGAIN!

i'm on talktalk, i have the smartAX MT882 router.... i can get online for a while (sometimes only 5 mins) before all the lights start flashing and stops working - while all the lights infinitely flash...

unplugging the power for a while usually helps - but sometimes not at all... can spend the whole night resting it then retrying to no avail....

i havent talked to talktalk as yet - i can be asked to go through the inept "is it switched on? try unplugging...blah blah"

when this happens i cant access the router software/mainframe which leads me to believe that they have palmed me off with the crappiest route around...

any ideas?

cheers

Sounds knackered, or at least broken firmware.

Unplug it from everything but power, place in a well ventilated area, and see what happens. If it keeps doing that, it's for the bin (or, in the case where the ISP wants it back, let them have it - preferably literally).
