When ever I restart my computer I lose internet access (Server not found, but SKYPE still works). Restarting a second time, or running the network wizard & restarting the router solves the problem.

The computer is connected to a Belkin router via an ethernet cable.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If Skype works, then your Internet connection sounds fine. I suspect problems with the DNS settings. (You are saying "Server Not Found" which I guess is an IE error page?)

Next time it happens, try this from a DOS prompt.

ping 212.58.224.86
ping www.bbc.co.uk

If you get an answer from the first line, but nothing from the second. Then it is a DNS setup problem.

If you get no answers from either of them, then it is deeper problem. (From your comment on SKYPE I assume this is just DNS)
