Router question - How do I ..........?

I've had a Linksys router for about six years and I have four devices plugged into it.
However, by my TV I have an XBOX and a Dreambox satellite system that both use the network.
I usually unplug the ethernet cable and put it into the one I'm using.
Is it possible to plug both devices into something and then into the one cable that goes to my Linksys?

yup, just hook a switch up to the router

My network here currently (and for the past 2 or 3 years

) has had the 4 port router hooked up to an 8 port switch under it, then another 8 port switch in another room (I only needed two ports in the room, but it was easier to put in a second switch than run a second cable).
