Router Recommendations

Ok so at the moment im on an old 54g belkin wirless router dual antenni but its terrible, I never get good connection speeds, its always going down and my xbox live hardly connects to games because its so bad, I need a new router preferbly one that is above 54mbps. Anyone got any suggestions?

Do you have ADSL or Cable broadband? Netgears have always been good for me.

If you need one that's faster than 54Mbps, what wireless adapters have you got?

You'll need compatible adapters to get any real benefit from MIMO/802.11n/108Mbps 802.11g, and the latter won't give you any extra range.

If you can stretch the money to draytek, the vigour 2600/2800s are very good, we use them in work and ive got one at home for dialling into our servers etc. they have yet to let me down in any way.

I have a wirless belkin 802.11g 54mbps router/modem connected to the phone socket, it has 2 desktop pc's and a laptop on the network as well as an xbox 360 ethernetted in.

It really does depend on whether you have ADSL or CABLE internet. I not so long go brought the belkin 54mbps (cable)mimo router primary for the addition range. This has worked perfectly since its purchase, it gives good connection spends all over the house. The speed variations of 54 / 108 mbps is only relevant if you are setting up a home network, if not then the 54 variant would be suitable.
