HI all,

Looking to replace my DSL-AX82U & RT-AX82U (v1) (router and access point respectively) as the DSL will no longer receive updates after December and the RT the following year after!
Plus AIMesh never worked and the wifi has slowly been getting spotty over time.

Anyways! Im a bit clueless as what to get next to replace them both.
Should I look into 'future proofing' somewhat and go with a RT-BE92U or BE550 for Wifi 7?
Some sort of (working) mesh support would be nice but not necessary as most things in the house are hard wired in, only the phones and partners PC uses wifi.

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated!

If you don’t need any extra routing functions, just use the ISP provided one and buy a proper access point for wifi, then mount it centrally and ideally on the upstairs landing. Then hardwire it. Unifi are decent. Have a search for ASUS in this sub forum, terrible company.
