Managed to get my hands on a couple of Cisco 877 routers today that were literally laying in the back of a cupboard. :D

A month or so ago a technician came out and installed some a newer Router at work and i thought he took them with him but thankfully and to my surprise he didn't. Will allow me to build my own little lab now, but my main issue is resetting them to their default settings.

Ive managed to override the secret password giving me total control of the device however id like to completely wipe the memory as it has all my works ip addresses, settings etc. Im going to play about with them for a while but will probably try and sell for a few bob on ebay as im looking to get a decent managed router for my own home network and i don't want there to be any traces of setup info left on the router!!

erase startup-config
reload

done.

I'll check that out tomorrow as ive just switched all off. Good to get some actual hands on rather than packet tracer.

I might keep them and get a switch however id prefer a good wireless managed router from Cisco but they dont come cheap.
