router says 8 meg, connection is 2 meg.

Its been at least a month since the "upgrade" my router says its connected at 8 meg, but I still get 2 meg speed. What do I need to do to sort this lot out?

This is what the router says:

Data Rate
Downstream/Upstream 8128Kb/448Kb

I am with BT btw.

I got stuck on the 2MB profile long after my 10 day period aswell (over 3 weeks infact)

The way I sorted it out was to ring BT..few days later was downloading at over 400Kb
