router stopping me from accessing blueyonder newsgroups

I keep getting a message saying I'm not an authorised user of the system when I try to connect to news.blueyonder.co.uk

If I remove the router (netgear rp614) and go direct from modem to pc it works fine.

I've been to the router settings to change the MAC address to match the computer or modem, selecting anything other than 'use default MAC address' gives me no connection at all.

Any ideas

If you change the mac address on the router you will need to hard reset the modem.
