Hi guys,

i've got a Netgear DG834G, which has my broadband plugged into it, as well as a few hard wired computers. it also has the wireless set up, currently broadcasting to one computer across the house.

i've just got a new pc for the living room (Media centre) but we have been unable to get a hardline in there yet. i havent got another wireless card, mainly because im now skint, but i did have my old Belkin Wireless modem/router lying around. i thought that i could hard wire the new pc into that router, then use the wireless function on that to connect to the other router and therefore the rest of the network and internet. however it hasnt worked. i can get the routers web browser up though the new pc, but i cannot seem to get it to connect to the internet. i've set up the wireless settings on the belkin to the same channel and security as the netgear, as well as the same name, but im not sure what im doing really.

is what im trying actually possible, and if so, any pointers?

thanks

don't think that ones going to work tbh. they would need to support bridging. best bet would be a wireless card in the pc less than £20 and probably neater than running a cable.
