Hello, im looking to upgrade my router (SKY's DG834GT) and was hoping some of you could give me some recommendations.

Looking to get a gigabit wireless router with built in modem. I run numerous servers from my LAN so my no1 feature is Nat Loopback.

I managed this through some hacked firmware for the DG834GT and it worked great. Ive looked at a few manuals for Dlink, Linksys and cant find anything relating to nat loopback.

Any ideas?

Yes i have plenty of spare gigabit switches at work. i was even considering bringing our old procurve switches home as they are going to waste in the store room.

Unfortunatly however the sky router is about 4 years old and starting to show its age as its randomly dropping connection 3 to 4 times a day which is annoying if your trying to run a server.

Am i right it thinking routers labelled "Gaming Router" have this enabled? i would have thought so as gaming users would be required to run their own servers and play aswell as host

The username/pass can be found out no trouble.

You could ask for a router upgrade from sky?

You could ask for one, but you wont get an upgrade. At most they will replace it for another the same.

Couldn't you just use an access point? (to be honest, I don't really understand much of what the op is trying to do). :)

i know my username and password for sky and i know its against the T+C

i have the 1st gen sky router DG834GT with hacked firmware that enables nat loopback.

this router is faulty, as in dropping connection numerous times a day.
its 10/100 wireless g router

my house is wired with cat6 (upgraded from cat5)

i dont want a sky router (i dont particularly want any consumer router but thats a different subject) i dont want them to upgrade my router, i wouldnt even trust them to upgrade my coffee maker

i will try explain it better.......

I was asking for was if anybody knows of any gigabit wireless router/modems that support NAT Loopback out of the box as most specification dont mention it.
