router upgrade

Hello I have a bt homehub 5 and I only get a 72.2mbps connection it says in my wireless connection settings... anyway will this router work as a replacement, Dual-band Wireless-AC2400 Gigabit Router.
I'm on FTTC infinity 2, would I have to enter a username and password or something or will it just work as plug and play style.

The Asus AC2400 does not have a VDSL modem built in so you would need to connect it to one e.g. Openreach - HG612 or ECI box - see auction sites. Once you connect it to an external modem you would set up a standard PPPoE connection and enter standard BT username and password e.g. "[email protected]", "password" - essentially BT doesn't give you a user specific username and password.
