I'm looking to buy a new router, currently have a big problem with other users running p2p programs and making the internet unusable.

Im looking for something thats not to expensive

must have QoS, wired, 4 port

I currently have a Linksys BEFSR41 but as it dosnt has QoS available is useless to me.

Any advise would be very helpful

Thanks

The WRT54-GL has QoS, it's cheap too. Not sure about the BEFSR41.

The WRT54-GL has more memory too as memory serves - meaning its great for people who like to bash the torrents et all...

Sorry to hijack the thread but I am interested in this also. Is the out-of-the-box QoS worth it for the WRT54GL or do you really need third party firmware? If so, is this easy to put on/free?

Cheers,

If you are capable of posting on here you are more than capable of flashing a 3rd party firmware, it's all web based and easy. Remember to reboot the router after you flash it. The free version of DD-WRT has QOS, the paid ersion (all 20 euro's of it) has more QOS features. Tomato is also quite nice but still in it's infancy.
