Hello folks. My Netgear DG834G has seemingly packed in. It won't boot anymore and gives a red light on the Power and Internet LEDs. Doesn't look good. I've tried factory resetting it a number of times, leaving it for a day or so to 'cool', but still nothing. I managed to update the firmware using one of their utilities (I got lucky and realised that my PC was 'seeing' the router for a brief period of time). Anyway, it seems to be a known issue of them giving up like that 
Has anyone had that happen? Any ideas on what I could do to try to recover it?
My second annoyance is that I found an old Draytek Vigor 2600 which I was hoping to use for the time being. I've got it plugged in fine, I can see it, it gives my PC an ip address etc.. but I can't for the life of me get into the control panel to setup the internet connection!
I can ping 192.168.1.1 fine, but the webpage just won't load in FF or IE. I've turned off the Windows firewall and my AV, but nothing, It's infuriating! Any ideas on that front?
