Im currently on 2.5mb bt and using a linksys router, but i used to get like 18 20 ping on counter strike now its been at 30s for a thew months and ideas would like to get a low ping again:D

Are you on ADSLMax? Is your exchange a heavily populated one? Have you checked your exchange status through a BT fault checker or similar tool? Does 10ms really matter? It could even be rate settings...

Firstly, try pinging bbc.co.uk and a few other UK sites from a command prompt to see what kind of pings you get there.

If the results are fairly high then it's also possible that interleaving got turned on. Can you check the connection stats and see if there's any mention of either fast path or interleaved path? If not, what model is your router?

Interleaving would be more than 10ms though... would it not? I'm just thinking more contention or something like that. Nothing to worry about really.

You're probably right but how much interleaving affects a line can vary - it added around 10 to 15ms for me but I have heard of people saying higher.
