Anybody using these things? I am looking in particular at the RB750 which is pretty cheap:

Am I right in assuming these are a step up from something like a WRT54GL running Tomato/DD-WRT etc. in terms of features, or are they dog slow, overpriced, under-specced learning tools at best?
Would I be better off looking for 2nd user Juniper/Cisco stuff?
In terms of what I want to achieve it would mainly be to have something a touch more stable and more flexible than the consumer offerings (in particular VPN endpoints, QoS, stuff like that), with a view to keeping it for a couple of years or so, assuming it's quick enough to cope with future speeds.
Any input is appreciated, including any other single-board embedded systems to run pfsense, m0n0wall etc.
