The Speedtouch 780 router that comes with Be keeps disconnecting.

Does anyone know if my D-Link DSL-524T ADSL2+ router is compatible? According to the Be forums, the following are compatible -

Netgear - DG834N, DG834PN, DG834GT (With the Uber Firmware)
Belkin – 7633, N1 (May require Hacked firmware)
Linksys - WAG300
USR - 9108a
Alcatel - 585,716,780 (716, 780 are the current beboxes).
Billion - 7402GL * (Please read the Billion section of this FAQ carefully before embarking)
D-Link 2740B, G804V(Fastpath Required)

I'm not sure what the difference is with these? Anyone know?

Thanks,

Jon.

Have you tried connecting the router to the master socket to see if it still disconnects? Also if you could post the line stats that would help work out why it is disconnecting.
The speedtouch does seem a pretty solid router to go with their service but if you want to get a new one check out the link to the forum below, there are a few threads comparing routers on there!

It is connected to the master socket.

It's actually been stable for the last 4.5 hours. Is it true that you can get disconnects in your first week whilst your 'best setting' is checked? Perhaps it's that?

Thanks!

Your snr is a bit low. As you obviously need to get every last drop of "goodness" out of your line Get a good master socket faceplate ( such as a XTE-2005 Master Faceplate) and run a direct sheilded adsl cable to your router. The speedtouch 780WL is about the best router for a poor line (Broadcom chipset) It is possible using a tool to change your snr without using telnet CLI. More info here:
