Starting a new routine of meals as I'm not impressed with the inconsistencies in my diet and changing things up every night.

So far:

Breakfast: 3 pieces of weetabix with small tablespoon of sugar.

Lunch: Not decided but I'm thinking 2 slices of bread and make a quick ham sandwich with light salad, lettuce, cucumber. (Maybe no sauces or butter, thoughts?)

Dinner: Some sort of whole grain pasta with Broccoli and possibly mushrooms and diced onions. (Not sure what sort of pasta or sauce to use, thoughts?)

Drinks will be water all day until dinner time and maybe one or two glasses of diet pop.

Snacks will be apples and grapes only.
I'm also taking Vitamin supplements (not minerals, vitamins only) in a form of a editable sweet every morning.

This is what I'll routinely eat every day for the majority. Thoughts and advice please, something I should add in or cut out?

Thoughts and advice please
You'll kill yourself eating the same thing day-in day-out :p

I think I know where you're coming from though. I have quite high calorie demands and I have to pre-plan what I'm going to eat or my diet goes upthe spout and I run out of energy. I try and keep a consistent calorie flow during the day to ensure I've got enough to eat. I try and mix things up a bit as much as possible while keeping the same nutrition.

E.g. porridge as an alternative to Wheatabix (3 tbsp porridge oats, 1 small tbsp sugar, ~200ml milk). Oaty fruit smoothie also provides about the same calories (general rule of 2-3 tbsp plain yoghurt, 1 banana, handful of soft fruit, small handful of oats, top up with milk).

Lunch if it's going to be bread-based can be bread, wraps or rolls, but I like to swap to pasta- or rice-based for a change.

Dinner is less of a problem for me as long as I get enough calories in. I just make sure I keep basics of meat and vegetables in stock and plenty of seasonings in the cupboard so I can make whatever comes to mind that night.

Home made fruit cakes and flapjacks are a great way to fill a hole without all the crap that supermarkets throw in them.

That's going to be such a ridiculously low amount of calories. What are you actually wanting to achieve, weight loss/something else?

Just to reiterate what has been said above, that looks like the sort of diet I wouldn't feed a prisoner everyday for fear of a riot with the only advantage being that they wouldn't have the energy to do much damage.

What are you hoping to achieve with this radical change in lifestyle.

Um One or two glasses of pop a day is not healthy, cutting that down to just having it a day or two a week at most will make a big difference and reduce your dental bills in the long run (even the diet stuff)!

Edit: also to agree with a varied diet - you body has a wide variety of needs.

Stock some fruit in with the weetabix (or better still porridge).

Use that bergen linseed bread, it will stick around longer.

Have a snack, tin of sardines in tomato and fruit (apple, banana etc).

Stick a chopped up chicken breast or some meatballs in that pasta.

Protein will help you feel full for longer, give you energy, feed your immune system and help prevent muscle loss. I can't even imagine you're at a healthy RDA with the meals in the OP.

Thanks all for the advice, not very good at this and forgetting a meat in my dinner was a bit silly of me. Will no doubt use chicken.

Mainly just trying to get myself into a better healthy balanced diet. Will shop around for some of the above suggested, thanks! and jonny, i guess i'll have to put up with it, for now :p lol

Kudos for thinking about not repeating the same foods all the time. If you keep eating the same foods you are more likely to develop a sensitivity to them.
