The missus is looking for a new car since her 750i was sold. She's quite keen on the Rover Coupe, and I think they look quite handsome too.

I've been trying to convince her to get a MK2 Mondeo 2.0 Ghia X but she won't have it... Sorry Fox.

So, oh Roper Coupe owners... Which version to get?

Budget is £1800 ish.
 
How long does it take to replace the HG on a K-Series?

I would consider myself to be intermediate/advanced when it comes to wielding spanners.
 
Why not an E36?
I hate them, she hates them.

The main reason for not considering a BMW is that we've had so many of them over the years. She wants something different.

She's looking at putting a bit more cash in now so we may have £3k for her.

Short list:

Rover Coupe
Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC (Would be my choice)
Nissan 200SX
Ford Cougar 2.5 (She's keen on this one)
Audi Coupe 2.5
 
She's a badge snob so the Hyundai is right out despite it being an excellent car.

The Fiat Coupe is out because they seem to be very spendy to insure compared to the others I've listed.
