Rowan Atkinson crashes Mac F1

So... its missing everything from the front of the rear wheels backwards and possibly the engine from the looks of it?

Cant have been a small shunt then..

The picture of the car in the hedge and the one where its being lifted onto the flatbed aren't exactly consistent....

Looks like a big smash. I wonder if the fire brigade pocketed some of the gold engine bay lining :)

A guy i used to work for had a smack in his murcielago (sp) relatively light slide into a tree, the car split in half and looked horrendous but he was only doing 30mph, apparently the car is designed to "split", the shell at the front containing the driver et al is almost a seperate entity like an escape pod.

I reckon its a cunning ploy to get the manufacturer lots of repeat business by virtually destroying the engine and leaving the relatively cheap cockpit intact :p

Sometimes I think crumple zones are designed to do exactly this!

The back end of the car looks fairly intact when in the hedge (nearside, at least), yet when going onto the flatbed, its mostly missing :)

It's the same car, what conceivable reason would there be to fake or photoshop the pictures to make it look worse than it is?

It's all in shadow, the engine cover is still up and in the same place, only difference is the door is closed.
