royal mail delivery wtf?

But how I really don't get it. Ordered iPad accessories on Wednesday morning. Ordered satnav all the baby things in the evening. And the evening batch have come and my iLovely ones haven't.
 
Different dispatch center perhaps?
Stock levels low perhaps?
First van dispatched breaks down?
God hates you and makes the van simply disappear?

Could be anything, but I'll run with the big man for now.
 
Sent a small packet 1st class recorded on Tuesday from Manchester to Dewsbury (30 miles approx) and it still hasn't got there.

OK, we've had a bit of snow but come one, 4 days for a 1st class item to go 30 miles!?

The weather is an excuse rather than the cause in most cases.
 
My PC case just arrived also. Lancool Dragonlord. That was purchased Wednesday, arrived from Germany this morning? Same time as items bought from an England depot in Swansea.
 
I sent an item out today by Special Delivery, but was told they were not guaranteeing Monday delivery. Useless postmen. :mad:

As for the delay in other parcels, remember the time of year. I speak from experience, there are a lot of parcels coming in at the moment, and perhaps simply not enough people able to deliver them, or willing to do the overtime required to shift the backlog. In the name of efficiency, Royal Mail has trimmed back on staff over this year, and this is end result.
